| Don
Martine, the owner of Martine Inn, is a sports
car restorer and race engine rebuilder. He has won in
vintage and historic car races around the United States.
Don has resided on Oceanview Boulevard in Pacific Grove
for over 35 years, and he has been a city councilman,
Chairman of the Beautification Committee, Vice President
of the Chamber of Commerce and chosen as Citizen of
the Year.
Don
owns a decorating center which his oldest son runs.
He has been a nationally recognized management consultant
specializing in organizational development. Don is
the founding president of the California Bed and Breakfast
Association and is an avid antique collector, most
of which you will see in the Inn. He has a sincere
desire to serve and welcomes you to enjoy the facility
and become refreshed.
Anne
Ross, Director of Events/Sales,
is originally from New York, has traveled extensively
throughout the USA and called five states "home"
before settling on the Monterey Peninsula.
Anne
is the former Marketing Assistant of a highly esteemed
food and wine consultancy firm in New York. She later
applied her marketing and management skills to the
Housing Industry where she was a certified Occupancy
Specialist focusing on affordable housing for Seniors.
Anne's
desire was to meld her food and beverage and property
management background into a viable position with
an elegant Inn on the Monterey Peninsula.

The past president of the Monterey Chapter of LeTip
International, Anne has served on Board of Directors
for Ensemble Monterey Chamber Orchestra, www.ensemblemonterey.org
and is a member of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals. She has the professional skills, calm
demeanor and desire to turn any event into a truly
memorable experience.

Ismael
Vizcaya Diaz, Chef, was born and raised in
Mexicali, in Baja California. He attended the University
of Baja California for only one semester before he
got married and moved to California in 1978.
Ismael currently volunteers at different
schools and urban community centers sharing his talent
and enthusiasm for the game of chess. He recently
earned a Black Belt in Taekwondo and helps students
throughout the state master self defense.
After
living in Lake Tahoe for several years and working
at Harvey's as a prep chef, Ismael went back to Mexico
for one year before settling in Salinas in 1987. He
has worked at Martine Inn for 22 years, preparing
our gourmet breakfasts, hors d'oeuvres and spectacular
dishes for weddings and special events. |

Brenda Avendano, Head Housekeeper, was born
and raised in Veracruz, Mexico. She worked as an RN
and loved the area, but she always had a passion to
move to California and continue her profession in
the United States. She is currently working on perfecting
her English skills so that she may finish her nursing
certification.
Brenda
has worked at Martine Inn for 10 years. She is one
of the smiling faces that will greet you and serve
you breakfast in the morning.
